Conceptional Architecture Inspired by Nature and its Phenomena By the Architect Mohanad Barakat
The art exhibition, which is the first of its kind in the State of Qatar, includes ten artistic models, eleven paintings and a group of pictures of architectural designs inspired by the cosmic nature. The exhibition expresses the study of the geometry of nature and what it contains of aesthetic proportions, lines, and relationships between blocks, and surfaces.

Art of Nature in The Qatari Architecture Exhibition
It is a combination of original Qatar architecture and the nature of Qatar created by studying nature in qatar and all it's characteristic components of old buildings and elements of nature and the study of geometric proportions and the historical origins of architecture in Qatar to then blend all these factors with architecture of nature to innovate architectural shapes ,forms and proportions in which revealing the extensive beauty of merging nature with architecture

KATARA - Geometric Study of Sand Lines, in the Qatari Architecture
“This exhibition tells how we study the lines and the structure of sand dunes and how it affect and create illusions from the wind directions. These lines then we can use as a design to new buildings, like a resort, hotel, museums, with a touch of Qatari architectural design. In integrating architecture, we use some pattern and ornaments from Qatar and we mix it with this kind of lines and designs,” Barakat explained.

Barakat is the first architect to draw inspiration from the sand dunes, the idea came out because of his love for the sand. “I go to sand dunes, take photos and videos, I sit and sketch it. The sand dunes are created by the sand and the wind. The wind, it will move the sand and the sand will create a sand dune mountain,” he narrated.

“From the wind direction, it will create shape, and these lines that we don’t see wind lines, this is how it affects the sand and how the sand go with the wind and how it is created by the wind, so these designs are what you can see in my exhibition,” Barakat further stated.
